A year-long sojourn in Paris initiated these paintings which cover the years 2000-2008. Natural disasters, war, losses of family members and friends intensified my exploration life’s troubles over this timeframe. The layered materials bear the marks of human habitation, of implied stories and dangers. The surface textures, layers, and patterns hide and reveal.
